Dr. Sean Chang is the founder and lead dentist at Blue Brush Dental. Born in Korea and raised in Newport Beach, CA, Dr. Chang developed a passion for dentistry early on, influenced by his uncle, an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Before beginning his dental journey, he proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Tanker from 2002 to 2005, an experience that shaped his strong sense of discipline, resilience, and dedication to service.

Dr. Chang holds dual degrees in Biology and Economics from the University of California, Irvine, and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the NYU College of Dentistry. He went on to complete a residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Queens, where he deepened his expertise in oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and implantology. A dedicated lifelong learner, Dr. Chang regularly attends advanced courses and serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the USC Dental School, mentoring future dental professionals.

With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Chang’s approach is grounded in compassion, integrity, and individualized care. Whether performing a routine exam or advanced surgical procedure, his goal is to ensure a seamless, stress-free experience for every patient who walks through the door.

Dr. Kat, a San Jose native, began her journey into dentistry through volunteering in underserved clinics, where she witnessed how oral health impacts overall wellbeing. She earned her Biology degree from UC Santa Cruz while also exploring her passion for design—a background that continues to influence her artistic approach to dentistry.

After completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University in Arizona, Dr. Kat trained extensively in restorative, pediatric, and cosmetic dentistry while practicing in Scottsdale. Today, she seamlessly blends aesthetics and clinical precision to create beautiful, healthy smiles. Her focus is on patient education, comfort, and crafting custom treatment plans that reflect each person’s unique goals.

Outside the office, Dr. Kat enjoys painting, curating elaborate charcuterie boards, and staying active through fitness and travel. She remains committed to professional growth, regularly attending continuing education courses to stay at the forefront of dental innovation.

Dr. Eugene Kim is a board-certified prosthodontist with advanced training from UCLA’s prestigious School of Dentistry, where he also completed his specialty residency in Advanced Prosthodontics. This field of dentistry focuses on restoring and replacing teeth through prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, and dental implants.

Beyond clinical care, Dr. Kim is widely respected as an educator and leader in his specialty. He is the founder and president of Pacific Implant Academy, through which he offers seminars, live surgeries, and training courses for dental professionals across the country. He has also served as a clinical instructor in removable prosthodontics at UCLA.

With a private practice in Buena Park and affiliations with leading dental institutes, Dr. Kim combines clinical excellence with a passion for teaching. His goal is to help both patients and peers achieve optimal results through meticulous technique and evidence-based care.

Dr. Brian Chen is a highly skilled endodontist who brings a gentle, compassionate approach to root canal therapy and other advanced endodontic procedures. After earning his dental degree, Dr. Chen completed his specialty training at the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and has since practiced throughout Southern California.

Specializing in endodontic diagnosis, retreatment, and root-end surgeries, Dr. Chen is known for his precise clinical skills, calming demeanor, and patient-centered care. His focus is not just on resolving dental pain, but on ensuring a comfortable and informed experience for every patient.

Since joining Blue Brush Dental in early 2022, Dr. Chen has become a trusted resource for complex root canal cases and continues to advance his skills through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues.

Dr. Jee Hoon Ha’s journey to dentistry is rooted in engineering and innovation. Originally from Seoul and raised in Missouri, he holds degrees in Electrical Engineering from KAIST and USC, and conducted AI research in Tokyo before pivoting to dentistry. He earned his DDS from UCLA, where he also contributed to 3D imaging research in bone and dental structures.

Dr. Ha completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at New York Medical College / Westchester Medical Center, receiving comprehensive training in anesthesia, general surgery, plastic surgery, and head and neck procedures. His clinical interests span corrective jaw surgery, dental implants, facial trauma, and cosmetic facial procedures.

Blending surgical expertise with an analytical mindset, Dr. Ha brings a unique perspective to patient care. He holds permits in General Anesthesia and Elective Cosmetic Surgery, and is fully certified to perform a wide range of maxillofacial procedures with precision and care.
